Encouraging pupils to read comics in a foreign language classroom in Primary Education
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article, the comic is analysed from a social, artistic-literary and educational perspective. The study focuses on the French model, in which comic strips play a prominent role, both as an artistic mean and as a reading document. More specifically, the benefits of the comic in the teaching of languages in Primary Education are also analysed. The results show how the comic is the ideal choice for this educational stage, because it allows carrying out reading comprehension and creative expression activities, while encouraging the children to read at the same time.
