Abstract

This is an overall view of some literary texts and essays dealing with the writing process. The literary text chosen, while not being exclusively written for children, link the period of childhood with either the written word or with language itself. The texts are by authors of different nationalities, some of the authors having written well≠–known best-sellers. This article suggests a thread of ideas to be followed in a topic that has to be developed within the field of children’s literature: meta–literature and its relationship to the reception of literary texts. Children’s literature is considered here to be an exceptional subject in the study of literary communication.
